Back in 2021, something shifted in me. I started to really feel how the world was changing. People seemed more divided, more isolated, and kindness felt like a fading memory. Guided by faith and a quiet desire to make a difference, I felt called to do something - something that reflected the values I believe in: love, compassion, and true community.
By 2025, after a failed attempt to build a platform the traditional way, I came to a humbling realization: TugOnn couldn’t be built for people from the outside - it had to be built by them, for them. That’s the only way it could truly make a difference from the very beginning.
And that’s how TugOnn began - not as a business, but as a hope to bring communities back together. To help people reconnect, find each other more easily, support one another, and act with purpose. Among all the groups I reached out to, the student community stood out the most. Their energy, creativity, and openness made them the perfect ones to take the first step. So TugOnn’s journey started with them - shaping a platform for something truly meaningful: real, lasting change.

My name is Ridwanul Haque (Saad), and I am currently a student of Social Work at Shahjalal University of Science and Technology. I have always been passionate about working for people in need, which is why I chose this field of study. Alongside my academic work, I have been actively engaged in community service. As a Millennium Fellow, I worked with my team on education-related initiatives, and during the floods in Sunamganj, I volunteered independently to help affected families relocate and secure safe drinking water.
I also try to balance academics with cultural and creative activities. I am the main vocalist of my musical organization, Nongar, where I perform on stage and collaborate with others through music. These experiences have shaped me into a person who values both compassion and creativity.
